Diagnosis: Schatzki Ring
Findings: Double-contrast barium esophagogram showing a Schatzki ring. This finding can be seen in up to ~15% of esophagograms (lower esophageal ring). Patients with a Schatzki ring can present with dysphagia especially to solid food and may also experience food impaction. Barium swallow can demonstrate a circumferential narrowing near or at the gastroesophageal junction. Schatzki rings typically are a ~2 to 3 centimeters above the diaphragmatic hiatus.
