Diagnosis: Internal carotid artery aneurysm
Findings and Key Points: Saccular aneurysm of the internal cerebral artery (ICA) is seen on angiography. typically, unruptured aneurysms are asymptomatic. There is also a genetic predisposition with hereditary pattern seen in family members. Aneurysms of the intracranial arteries can be associated with example conditions such as Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Marfan syndrome, fibromuscular dysplasia, hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia, polycystic kidney disease, coarctation of aorta, bicuspid aortic valve, NF (neurofibromatosis), alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency, cerebral arteriovenous malformations.
