Diagnosis: Avascular necrosis of the talus

Key points and findings: MRI demonstrates a double line sign that consists of parallel hypointense and hyperintense curvilinear signal indicating sclerosis and granulation tissue respectively. On corresponding radiograph, there is increased sclerosis seen along the articular surface of the talus. There is mild flattening of the talar dome also visualized.
